Dr. Elizabeth Kelly D.V.M.:

Jamacha Veterinary Clinic Dr. Elizabeth Kelly D.V.M.

Dr. Elizabeth Kelly was born in New York City but spent her childhood in England. She later returned to Pennsylvania where Liz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Delaware Valley College. She was accepted into the post-graduate program at the Royal Veterinary School at the University of Scotland in Edinburgh where she studied veterinary medicine.  She transferred to Ross University in St. Kitts where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  Following a year of clinical work at the University of Missouri she began practicing emergency veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania and later in California. Dr. Kelly purchased Jamacha Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Richard Uchimura in 2004. Dr. Kelly has surrounded herself with a team of professionals who are as dedicated to veterinary medicine as she is. Both her experiences and her studies have given her the opportunity to treat a wide variety of animal illnesses. She looks forward to meeting you and your pets and becoming a part of their health and wellness.

Richard Uchimura, D.V.M.:

Jamacha Veterinary Clinic Dr. Richard Uchimara D.V.M.

Dr. Uchimura technically retired from Jamacha Veterinary Clinic in 2004.  However, he will happily lend a hand on busy surgery days....as long as it doesn't interfere with his golf game!  Dr. U volunteers monthly for the Feral Cat Coalition.  This is an organization that spays and neuters wild-domestic cats.  Dr U and his wife Carol spent many years building this wonderful practice.  Hardly a day goes by without a client asking how they are and saying how much they miss them!

Dr. Kate Bader D.V.M.:

Jamacha Veterinary Clinic Dr. Kate Bader D.V.M.

Dr. Bader was born and raised in Seattle Washington where she first gained an interest in Veterinary Medicine. At the age of sixteen Dr. Bader took her first job in a local veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant and was hooked. Kate pursued her studies at Washington State University where she graduated with Honors from Veterinary School in 1998. Having a love for the San Diego area where she visited her grandparents as a child, Kate traveled south, following the sunshine. Upon arriving in San Diego in the summer of 1998, She took her first job at a small animal clinic where she developed close client relationships and gained an interest in surgery. After working in the San Diego area for 10 years, Dr. Bader has joined the team at Jamacha Veterinary Clinic, where she is looking forward to working with Dr. Kelly and her wonderful staff. Kate has never in her life been without a pet and presently has a dog "Ernie" and a cat "Sampson".  Dr. Bader is a Licensed Independent Contractor that works at many veterinary clinics throughout San Diego County.   Working at many hospitals increases her skill level and allows us to offer a broader range of surgeries and treatments.
